At the age of 70, Arokia was still lifting kilos in the gym. He strongly believes that exercise can stave off not only epidemics like corona, but also aging. Arokiyasamy dropped out of school at the age of 11 due to family financial circumstances. Arokia, who adores Hollywood hero and bodybuilder Arnold, has always struggled to change his body just like him. Mr. Universe has represented Malaysia several times in competitions in this order. In 1968, he won his first gold medal at the bodybuilding competition in his home state of Perak.

He then went on to win gold at the 1981 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines. He then started a gym in the town of Teluk Intan in Malaysia and started coaching amateur bodybuilders. Arokiyasamy is of Indian descent from Malaysia and charges only one dollar a day from those who train at his gym. A nature lover by nature, he does not have the latest equipment in his gym. Machines made of scrap metal are visible. The aim is to pass on his experience in bodybuilding to future generations.

Arokia is also involved in hockey, badminton and football. But did not participate in the competitions. Although he is a successful athlete, he still works as a gardener and security guard at the school. Arokia says that she is able to maintain her health by working out regularly and eating a balanced diet and exercising. She eats her own home grown vegetables.
