TOKYO: A strong earthquake shook the northeastern coast of Japan on Saturday night, the Japan Meteorological Agency said. Explained that the earthquakes were concentrated at a depth of 60 km in the ocean. The epicenter was reported below the Fukushima prefecture, however; no tsunami alert was issued. Indicated a level of 7.1 on the Richter scale. The Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant is being investigated for any problems. Complaints have not been received so far that there are any problems in other centers as well.
