Dubbed by the authorities as “acrobatic thieves”, the gang consisting of four elements was arrested in Milan after suspicions of monitoring the movements of several Italian celebrities through Instagram. The goal would be to rob houses.
Among the victims of this scheme are the football player Achraf Hakimi, Inter Milan star, television presenter Diletta Leotta it’s at influence Eleonora Incardona.
According to Italian authorities, the group used Instagram to spy on their targets meticulously, reconstructing all their movements, so that it was easier to access their homes.
According to The Guardian, men, between the ages of 17 and 44, they used to dress in an elegant way and thus go unnoticed when visiting the luxury neighborhoods.
CCTV footage shows one gang member watching the other as he climbs a building and enters through the window of a first-floor apartment.

The thief opened the front door of the house for the two accomplices to enter, and together they managed stealing some goods that they carried in a suitcase. This would be the most common method among thieves.
Italian police revealed that the series of robberies began in June last year, when about 150,000 euros in goods, including jewelry, designer bags and Rolex watches, were stolen from a home in Leotta.
The “acrobatic thieves” are also suspected of being behind the theft of several watches belonging to Achraf Hakimi, who moved from Borussia Dortmund to Inter Milan in September, and who lived in a temporary housing at the time of the theft, which occurred in November.
In December, the gang also stole nine branded suitcases and luxury clothes from Eleonora Incardona’s house – a influence Italian that has almost 500 thousand followers on Instagram. However, the police managed to recover most of the assets.
