An ambush of the organized crime left at least 13 policemen dead on Thursday, 18, in the Central state, in the Mexico, declared the region’s security secretary, Rodrigo Martínez-Celis. “The convoy was patrolling the region to fight criminal groups operating in the area. So far, we have information on the deaths of eight members of the Secretariat of Security and five members of the Attorney General of the State of Mexico, ”said Martinez-Celis in a video. The secretary confirmed that the patrol car ambushed in the municipality of Coatepec Harinas suffered an attack from organized crime. “This attack is an affront to the Mexican state. We will respond with all the strength and with the support of the law and legitimacy ”, declared the official, who informed that the federal agencies are involved in the investigation.
