In a joint operation, the police of the Ireland and yes Holland they seized about two thousand bags carrying cocaine disguised as coal. According to authorities, each of the bags carried about 20 kg and the total value of the seizure, which took place earlier this week in the port of Rotterdam, is more than BRL 200 million. The information was disclosed by websites and international agencies. According to police, the charge came from the South America and was held for a few hours after authorities were notified. The Siochána Guard, which is responsible for Ireland’s security, relied on sniffer dogs and x-rays to identify the presence of cocaine. So far, authorities have not arrested anyone involved in the case.
The Garda Síochána, through the GNDOCB is leading in an investigation involving a significant international dimension, relating to suspected importation of cocaine into Europe and Ireland, in particular, from South America.
