In the past 24 hours, the Brazil 26,845 new cases of Covid-19. As a result, the total number of infected with the new coronavirus (Sars-Cov-2) and its variants increased, surpassing the mark of 9.5 million cases. The total, at the moment, is 9,524,640 contaminated, which makes Brazil the third country with the most cases, behind the U.S, with 26.99 million infected, and India, with 10.8 million cases. In the same period, there were 522 new deaths caused by the disease, increasing the total number of deaths to 231,534, being the second largest in the world, behind only the USA, with 463 thousand. The data were released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (CONASS) through a bulletin published on Sunday, 7. The disease rates in the country maintained the trends of the last weeks. After the update, the mortality rate of Covid-19 in Brazil remained stable at 2.4%. The disease mortality rate increased to 110.2 per 100 thousand inhabitants. In turn, the incidence rate follows an upward trend and reached 4,532.4 per 100 thousand inhabitants.
