In the past 24 hours, the Brazil recorded 778 new deaths from Covid-19, resulting in a total of 255 fatal victims since the beginning of the pandemic. In the same period, 35,742 cases of Covid-19 were recorded, which increased the total number of infected with the new coronavirus (Sars-Cov-2) to 10,587,001, being the third largest brand in the world, behind only the USA and yes India. The data were released by the National Council of Health Secretaries (CONASS) through a bulletin updated at 6 pm on Monday, 1st. Disease indicators maintained the trends of the previous weeks. The lethality rate of Covid-19 in Brazil remains stable at 2.4%, while the mortality rate increased to 121.7 per 100 thousand inhabitants. Another index that also showed growth is the disease incidence rate, which was 5,037.9 per 100 thousand inhabitants. The numbers prove the trend that the country is experiencing a moment of progress of the disease in the country. The scenario of almost collapse of the health system caused the health secretaries, through a letter, to express their desire for the adoption of restrictive measures against Covid-19 at the national level.
