In the past 24 hours, the Brazil registered 983 new deaths by Covid-19, making the total number of fatalities since the beginning of the pandemic, in March 2020, be 408.622. In the same period, there were also registered 24.619 new cases of the disease, causing the number of people infected with the new coronavirus (Sars-Cov-2) and its variants to be 14.779.529. The moving average of deaths in the last seven days fell to 2,384, as did the daily average of 58,587. The data were released by the National Council of State Health Secretaries (Conass) through a bulletin update made at 6 pm on Monday, 3. In absolute numbers, Sao Paulo remains the state most affected by Covid-19, with 2,926,516 cases and 97,172 deaths caused by the disease. In proportional terms, the Amazon has the highest mortality rate (305.4 per 100 thousand inhabitants) while Roraima has the highest incidence rate (15,975.1 per 100 thousand inhabitants).
