O Brazil surpassed the mark of 13.9 million cases of Covid-19 when counting 67,636 new positive tests in the last 24 hours. With them, the total number of infected with the new coronavirus (Sars-Cov-2) reached 13,900,091. In the same period, there were 2,929 new deaths caused by the disease, which means that the total fatal victims of pandemic is 371,678. The moving average of deaths increased to 2,906 while the average of cases dropped to 65,012. With that, Brazil should surpass the mark of 14 million cases in the next two days. The data were released by the National Council of State Health Secretaries (CONASS) through a bulletin update held at 6 pm on Saturday, 17. Despite the high numbers, there was a drop in the number of deaths throughout the week. Between April 11 and 17, 20,344 deaths were recorded, while between April 4 and 10, 21,141 deaths were recorded.
