Images of Julio Lancellotti using a sledgehammer to remove stones went viral; city of São Paulo reported that it started removal works before his arrival at the site

The stones in the place that serves as a shelter for homeless people in the region were installed last Thursday, 28, by the city of São Paulo and caused revolt in social networks.
In view of the negative repercussions of the work, the Municipal Secretariat of Subprefectures stated that what happened was an “isolated decision” that is not part of the municipal management policy.
