Significant accumulations of rain will mainly affect Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, says INMET
Meteorological institutes provide for a public holiday Carnival of rain and cold in the states of the Southeast region. According to the National Meteorological Institute (INMET), until February 15, the forecast is for persistent rains in the region, with significant accumulations of rain mainly in Minas Gerais e Holy Spirit, reaching 15 mm in some places. From February 16 to 24, an interval that includes the Tuesday of Carnival and the Wednesday of Ash, the accumulation of rain in São Paulo should decrease. The trend in Minas and ES remains the same.
The Climatic Emergencies Management Center of the City of SP points out that Saturday morning may be rainy, but that the sun appears during the morning. During the afternoon, the rains return in the form of blows with electrical discharges and gusts of wind. On Sunday, despite the sun, the arrival of the sea breeze again intensifies the areas of instability between late afternoon and early evening, favoring the occurrence of rain showers. According to the Rio Alert, from the Rio de Janeiro, Saturday will be isolated rain showers. On Sunday and Monday, there will be isolated rainfall during the afternoon and evening. On Carnival Tuesday, it will rain only in the afternoon.
According to INMET, in São Paulo, the minimum temperature estimated on the holiday is 18ºC, on Sunday, 14, with a maximum of 25ºC on Tuesday, 16. In Rio de Janeiro, the minimum is 21ºC, this Friday Monday, 12, and the maximum is 34ºC, on Sunday and Monday. Belo Horizonte records 17ºC on all days of the holiday, except on Monday, when the temperature under one degree. The maximum in the capital of Minas Gerais is 28ºC. Vitória is the city with the minimum May among the capitals: 22ºC. The maximum is 32ºC this Friday. The temperature is expected to drop in the coming days.
