Now with 15 cities, including important cities such as Angra dos Reis and Itaperuna, the operation becomes more attractive
the government of Rio de Janeiro intends to promote in the first half of December a new auction of lot 3 of the Cedae, the one that was offered in April of this year in the trading session that took place at B3, in São Paulo, but had no interested parties. The Rio de Janeiro government hoped to be able to hold this new event earlier, between October and November. However, it has been much sought after by cities and municipalities that were left out of the first round of Cedae’s auction in the areas of water distribution and sewage treatment and collection. Lot 3 originally comprised a low-density area, dominated by militiamen and had six municipalities. Now, according to updated information, there are already nine more cities interested in entering this lot. With 15 cities, including important cities such as Angra dos Reis e Itaperuna, the auction becomes more interesting and attractive. Even the grant value must be changed upwards — it was R$900 million. Interested parties have until the end of the month to express their desire to enter the batch so that the notice can be published soon.
