The prefecture of Sao Paulo announced on Thursday, 27, that as of this Friday, 28, those who are going to take the first dose of vaccine against a Covid-19 they will need to show proof of residency in the municipality. The measure takes effect on the day that the city starts vaccination for health professionals over 18 and trainees in the area who are in the last year of their respective courses. From this Friday, the immunization of people between 40 and 44 years old with comorbidities and beneficiaries of the Benefit of Continued Provision of Social Assistance (BPC) will also be started. The proof of residency requirement is intended to ensure that residents of the capital receive the doses intended for them. In all, the city has 468 Basic Health Units and eight mega stations with availability of vaccines for the population. At the moment, only the first doses of Pfizer and Oxford / AstraZeneca immunizers are being used and the remaining vaccines from CoronaVac are applied as a complement to those who have already taken the first of the exam. The production of the Chinese technology vaccine was suspended on May 14 due to lack of inputs.
