The state deputy of State, Joel of the Harp (PP), exchanged aggressions with the commander Colonel Tavares this Thursday morning, 8, during the vaccination against Covid-19 of policemen, in the unit of the 6th Battalion of Military Police (PM), in Jaboatão dos Guararapes. A video sent to the report by the congressman’s advisory shows the moment when Joel tries to enter the auditorium of the place, but is stopped by police. According to Joel, his intention was to monitor the vaccination of military police officers. “You are not going to go to the auditorium,” says Tavares. The deputy confronts the agent. “Are you going to put yourself in front of me?” He asks. The policeman then responds by explaining that the entrance to the auditorium is being controlled.

In another video that circulates on social networks, it is possible to see Joel already inside the barracks. Once again, the deputy is prevented from entering the immunization area. “Are you going to get me out?” Asks Joel from Harp. “I am,” replies Colonel Tavares, who pushes the deputy. Then the two begin to attack each other and the video is cut. In the second shoot, Joel is no longer wearing a protective mask. “The officer in the barracks’ courtyard, in front of the military present, told me that I could not enter the barracks or take a picture of my visit, I told him that I am a deputy and was supervising the Executive Branch. The same colonel continued to prevent my entry and did not respect my prerogative as deputy and inspector of the Executive Branch ”, reports Joel. The congressman’s adviser says that vaccination of military police officers is an agenda that Joel da Harp has defended for months. The deputy filed a complaint with Colonel Tavares in the internal affairs department and said he would go after the Legislative Assembly to open an administrative case against the official.
