For the first time since vaccination against Covid-19, O Brazil applied more than a million doses in 24 hours. The data were released by the Press Vehicles Consortium this Thursday, 1st, and contains information from the 26 states and the federal District. According to the group, 1.095.362 people received the vaccine, and 963.429 received the first dose 131.933 the second. With that, Brazil reached the mark of 18.548.301 vaccinated people, and of this total, 5.233.544 received both doses. The number of people immunized is equivalent to 8.78% of the Brazilian population. On the other hand, the percentage of people who received both doses is 2.47%.
In absolute numbers, Sao Paulo has the largest number of vaccinated: 4.67 million. THE Bahia, with 1.66 million, and Minas Gerais, with 1.61 million coming next. In proportional terms, Bahia is the state that vaccinated the most inhabitants, with 11.15% of the population receiving at least the first dose. On the other hand, Mato Grosso, with 5.2% of the immunized population is the worst state to date. On the same day that the mark was reached, Brazil registered 91,097 cases and 3,679 deaths caused by the disease, according to data from the National Council of State Health Secretaries (CONASS).
