The governor of Mato Grosso do Sul, Reinaldo Azambuja, attributed the excellent number of vaccinees in the State to the logic in the distribution of doses, their application and financial incentives to the municipalities. There, for every four adults, three are already vaccinated. O Mato Grosso do Sul it currently has the highest vaccination coverage in the country — 34% of people have already received two doses of vaccine (or Janssen’s single dose) and 73% have received at least one dose. “Dialogue was fundamental, because the State does not have a local application logic, it is the municipality that does this. Creating this structure and dialogue was fundamental for advancing”, he highlighted.
