Four-year-old boy was killed in March this year, in the capital of Rio de Janeiro, by his stepfather – alderman Dr. Jairinho
Henry Borel now it’s name of law in Rio de Janeiro. It has even been published in the Official Gazette of the State after being sanctioned by the governor Cláudio Castro. Basically, the law says the following: from now on, heinous crimes against children and adolescents are given top priority in investigations by the Rio de Janeiro police. Little Henry Borel, four years old, died in March this year after being beaten by his own stepfather – the city councilor in Rio, Dr. Jairinho. The boy did not have a good relationship with him, which was constantly aggressive.
The child’s mother, teacher Monique Medeiros, followed this turbulent relationship without taking any kind of action to protect her son. For this reason, she, like Jairinho, the protagonist of the crime, according to investigations by the police and the Public Ministry of Rio de Janeiro, was also denounced to the Rio de Janeiro court for a triple-qualified homicide with the right to torture for grim reasons and without the victim’s right of defense. The two are imprisoned in the Rio de Janeiro prison system awaiting trial, which should be taken to the Jury Court in Rio de Janeiro perhaps later this year. Dr. Jairinho will probably be hunted by the City Council of Rio for breaking parliamentary decorum.
