Gold prices rose in the local markets, at the end of trading today, Wednesday, due to the rise in ounces on the global stock exchange, and the decline in US Treasury bond yields.
Osama Al-Jalla, Secretary-General of the Gold Division of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, said that gold prices rose by 14 pounds in local markets at the end of trading today, to record an ounce at the level of 1794 dollars, and a gram of 21 karat gold recorded a level of 784 pounds.
He added that a gram of 24 karat gold recorded 896 pounds, and 18 karat recorded 672 pounds, and the price of the gold pound was 6272 pounds.
