271 million pounds to provide electrical power to the “Monorail Zayed” transformer station

Egytech Cables, Egypt Cables Alliance and El-Gamal Company won the limited exercise proposed by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company to provide electrical power to the Zayed Monorail transformer station at a total cost of 271 million pounds.

The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company stated in a statement that it had signed a contract with EGETEC for the supply and installation of 66 kV ground cables and fiber-optic cables with their accessories on a turnkey system to connect the insulated-type Monorail Transformer Station with a length of 15 km cables, at a cost of 236 million pounds.

The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company also signed a contract with the Egypt Cable Alliance and El Gamal General Contracting Company for the supply and installation of 66 kV ground cables and fiber-optic cables with their accessories on a turnkey system to connect the 66 kV Monorail Zayed transformer station with a length of 2 km cables at a cost of 35 million pounds.

The Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company had previously contracted with a number of companies to provide electricity to other transformer stations, according to the geographical scope of the monorail project.

Strategic projects are financed within the plan of the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and the disbursement is carried out by the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company through its own resources and loans obtained from banking authorities.
