It was not possible to obtain an immediate comment from the Moroccan authorities regarding what was reported by the channel.

The channel also quoted an (unnamed) Israeli army spokesman as saying: “We are cooperating with a different group of foreign countries and armies, while conducting exercises, high-level meetings and joint research.”

However, the spokesman added, “We will not discuss cooperation with a specific country,” without details of the military training, even if Morocco is a participant in it.

It is noteworthy that last year 2020, Morocco signed an agreement with Israel to resume relations between them, to join 3 other Arab countries that signed agreements in the same year to normalize relations with Tel Aviv, namely the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan.

Out of 22 Arab countries, 6 have declared official relations with Israel, namely Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Bahrain, Sudan and Morocco.

It was not clear how many soldiers and crew members were on the plane and how long they would stay in the country.

According to the website, security cooperation between Israel and Morocco is a very sensitive political issue.
