The Egyptian Al-Ahly team won the African Champions League for the 10th time in its history, after defeating its southern African rival, Kaizer Chavez, by three clean goals without a response.

Al-Ahly scored the first goal of the match in the 53rd minute through the skilled striker Mohamed Sherif with a powerful shot that the player placed to the right of his opponent’s goalkeeper, Kaizer Chavez.

In the 64th minute, midfielder Mohamed Magdy Qafsha scored the wonderful goal in a difficult angle after a beautiful cross from Mohamed Sherif, and Amr Al-Sulayya succeeded in the 74th minute with a strong shot that came to the left of the goalkeeper, to end the match with three clean goals.

The final meeting between the two teams witnessed the domination and possession of the former title holder, Al-Ahly of Egypt, with many missed opportunities towards the goal net.

The Kaizer Chavez player was expelled at the end of the mid-game events with a red card after the referee returned to the mouse technique, after the player’s violent intervention towards Al-Ahly player Akram Tawfik.

Al-Ahly managed to achieve the tenth championship in the history of his career, as he sits on the throne of the standings as the lady of the African continent as the highest team to win that championship.

In the midfield position, Hamdi Fathi, Aliou Diang, Amr Al-Sulayya, Mohamed Magdy Qafsha, Hussein Al-Shahat, Mahmoud Abdel-Moneim Kahraba, and Taher Mohamed Taher played.

In the team’s offensive line, the coach relied on the player Marwan Mohsen, Mohamed Sharif, Salah Mohsen, and Walter Bwalya.

Al-Ahly team qualified for the final of the African Champions League after defeating its Tunisian counterpart, Esperance, back and forth, with four clean goals without a response.

While its southern African rival, Kaizer Chavez, qualified after beating the Moroccan Wydad team in the first leg with a clean goal, and a goalless draw in the second leg without any goals, and it is the first time that the team qualified for the finals of the African Champions League.
