Twitter accounts have again promoted a rumor about the Jordanian anchor, Ola Al-Faris, as these accounts claimed that the Qatari Al-Jazeera channel dispensed with Al-Faris’ services and dismissed her.

It is noteworthy that last July, the same rumor spread and Twitter accounts promoted her dismissal from Al-Jazeera, and Ola Al-Faris came out to respond to these rumors and indirectly false them in her latest appearance on Al-Jazeera screen at the time.

This time, some accounts claimed that Ola Al-Faris was fired by Al-Jazeera for reasons, the most important of which was the lack of direct influence on the audience for which she was recruited, and her inappropriateness for a number of tasks assigned to her within the network.

And by searching behind these accounts and the source of the rumor coming out and promoting it, it turned out that they are tweeting accounts from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

By reviewing Ola Al-Fares’ account on Twitter, there is nothing new to indicate the alleged rumors that the Qatari channel has abandoned it.

Especially since she is at the beginning of presenting an important new program, which is “The Other Side”, and the first episode of it achieved great popularity, as she conducted an interview with Iraqi President Barham Salih in his palace.

Who is Ola Al Fares?

It is noteworthy that Ola comes from a family that was involved in political work. Her grandfather is Abdul Raouf Al-Faris, a member of the Jordanian Parliament from 1954 until his death in 1984 and Jordan’s representative in the Arab Union Council.

Her father, Tahseen Al-Faris, was a member of the ninth Jordanian parliament, which was extended by royal will, to be the tenth parliament. He died at the age of 13, and her mother raised her with her seven male siblings.

The Jordanian media graduate graduated from high school at the age of sixteen, after which she joined the Faculty of Law and completed her university studies at the age of nineteen from Al-Ahliyya Amman University.

Ola Al-Faris’ career path

Ola Al-Fares began her media career at an early age; She is the youngest reporter in the Middle East at the age of seventeen, according to the British “Oak” magazine.

She started as a news reporter for Al Arabiya TV from Jordan for four years, in 2004 with the support of Saad Al Silawi, who supported and encouraged her.

After that, she joined the news channel “MBC 1” as a presenter and presenter of the social news program “MBC in a Week”.

And it sparked a great controversy among the Arab street after she published a tweet about Jerusalem in response to Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, and her tweet provoked angry reactions, as some interpreted it as offensive to Saudi Arabia.

Ola Al Faris

In 2017, Ola Al-Faris submitted her resignation from “MBC” to move to the “Rotana” group, and this contract was suspended, and in 2019 she effectively terminated her contract with them.

And at the beginning of last June, the Jordanian media and prominent presenter on Al-Jazeera channel, Ola Al-Faris, published a new photo through the communication sites, which she showed, accompanied by Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein.

The Knight and Prince Ali bin Al Hussein

Al-Faris then published her picture with Prince Ali on her official account on Twitter, and commented: (A cup of coffee brought me together today with His Royal Highness Prince Ali bin Al Hussein).

He drew the attention of activists that Ola Al-Faris, as well as Prince Ali, did not wear a muzzle, despite the precautionary measures in Jordan to prevent the Corona virus.

Activists also linked this photo to Prince Hamzah bin Al Hussein, who is accused of leading a failed coup attempt against his brother the King, a charge he denied in form and substance.

The appearance of Prince Ali bin Al Hussein raised questions among activists about Prince Hamzah, his location and the secret of his disappearance so far.
