The Ministry of Social Solidarity launched a caravan of clothing and food for homeless families provided by the Arab Council for Social Responsibility and the Al-Hayat Foundation, as well as the distribution of motorcycles for Prime Time Zone of determination in Beni Suef governorate.
The convoy included 400 kilograms of meat, 200 cartons of supplies, 200 blankets, 200 gowns, and 200 pieces of children’s clothing, and distributed them to the children and girls of the Social Defense Institution, the Social Welfare Home in the governorate and the homeless adults.
Nevin Al-Kabbaj, Minister of Social Solidarity, delivered 16 motorcycles for Prime Time Zone with special needs, with the support of the Future Al-Amin Foundation, and delivered small projects to breadwinner women from the Young Muslim Women Association.
Al-Kabbaj said that providing motorcycles for Prime Time Zone with special needs is extremely important to integrate them into society and provide job opportunities, especially as the ministry works to raise the value of work and encourage families to work and produce.
She indicated that the Ministry invests its efforts and activities in all governorates and adopts a development vision, according to the directives of the political leadership to serve all individuals in all governorates, villages and hamlets.
She said that the ministry’s initiatives and activities include all groups of society, not only the most vulnerable, especially that the government is working to develop Prime Time Zone and preserve their dignity.
The Minister of Social Solidarity explained that the cash support program Takaful and Karama is being expanded, and pledged to examine any grievances of families in the program.
She indicated that the ministry is working to automate all its activities, and work will be done to automate all social units at the level of the governorates of the Republic by 2021.
Al-Kabbaj added that the ministry will not allow the presence of Egyptian children in the street without shelter, as the ministry intensifies its efforts in this regard.
For his part, Dr. Muhammad Hani, Governor of Beni Suef, said that the Minister of Social Solidarity does not delay any support requested by the governorate, and that there are great efforts being made by the Social Solidarity Directorate in the governorate.
The Governor praised the role of the Future Trust Foundation in opening the House of Safe Hands for the Care of Homeless Girls, and laying the foundation stone for the Future Trust Foundation for Integrated Services project, which is being built on an area of 3500 square meters.
This project includes a home for homeless girls, a home for the elderly, a home for orphans, and children without shelter, as well as an integrated medical center, a model nursery, a community school, and a multi-purpose hall.
