Balarab bin Haitham bin Tariq, son of the Sultan of Oman, drew attention to him with a sudden appearance, accompanied by his father, who was on a visit to lead the infantry brigade (11).

According to what was monitored by (Watan), Balarab bin Haitham bin Tariq appeared, wearing the Omani military uniform, and standing next to his father, who was also wearing the same uniform.

Activists asked about the rank that Belarab holds and appeared on his shoulders, to which some answered that it is the rank of first lieutenant, and others explained that it is the rank of captain, as the photography does not explain well the reality of his rank.

Belarab bin Haitham bin Tariq appeared in several other photos, accompanied by his father and the leaders accompanying him, while inspecting the infantry brigade.

And the Omanis interacted greatly with the appearance of the younger son of Sultan Haitham next to him.

It is noteworthy that last June, the marriage of Belarab bin Haitham bin Tariq Al Said was held.

Several social media accounts circulated a memorial photo of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, with his two sons, Dhi Yazan bin Haitham and Belarab bin Haitham, on the occasion of the last marriage contract.

A hashtag entitled “# Balarab_bin_Haitham” topped the list of the most popular hashtags on Twitter, and hundreds of congratulatory tweets were written in it for Sultan Haitham and his wife on the marriage of their son.

It was noticeable through the hashtag that many activists asked about Omar Belarab, the son of Sultan Haitham, who seemed young but showed signs of distinction.

And the official, Saif Al-Muqbali, wrote: “How old is His Highness Balarab_bin_Haytham? I feel his personality is strong.. May God protect him and prolong the life of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq and the Crown Prince, Dhi Yazan.”

One of the activists replied that he was 24 years old, saying: “His Highness Balarab bin Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, age 24, born 1997.”

While the same activist, in his response, Al-Muqbali suggested that Belarab’s wife is the daughter of his maternal aunt, Mrs. Maani bint Abdullah, from Sohar.

While others stated that Belarab is 18 years old, and by reading Wikipedia for public figures, the site did not refer to Omar Belarab and only mentioned that he is the son of Sultan Haitham and Mrs. Ahed al-Busaidiya.

It is noteworthy that Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said is the cousin of the late Sultan Qaboos bin Said, who assumed power after his death in accordance with the will of Sultan Qaboos.

Sultan Haitham’s male brothers are Talal bin Tariq, Asaad bin Tariq, Qais bin Tariq (deceased), Shihab bin Tariq, Adham bin Tariq, and Faris bin Tariq Al Said (deceased).

His female sisters are Lady Kamila bint Tariq Al Said, and Lady Amal bint Tariq Al Said.

And the mother of Sultan Haitham bin Tariq is Sayyida Shawana bint Hamoud bin Ahmed Al Busaidi.

And the wife of Sultan Haitham is Mrs. Ahed bint Abdullah bin Hamad Al Busaidi.

His sons, including Yazan bin Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Belarab bin Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, and his daughters Soraya and Omaima.

It is noteworthy that Haitham bin Tariq bin Taimur Al Said is the tenth Sultan of the Sultanate of Oman and the Prime Minister since January 11, 2020, succeeding his cousin Sultan Qaboos bin Said and in accordance with his will.

Before that, he was the Minister of Heritage and Culture since February 2002. He was the head of the main committee for the future vision “Oman 2040”.

He also held several positions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including Secretary-General, Under-Secretary for Political Affairs and Minister Plenipotentiary. At times, he served as a special envoy to Sultan Qaboos bin Said.
