A total of 4.1 billion domestic tourism trips will take place in China in 2021, an increase of 42 percent from 2020, a report issued by the China Tourism Academy showed on Monday.
The report states that China’s inbound tourism revenue will reach 3.3 trillion yuan (about 511 billion US dollars) in 2021, an increase of 48 percent year-on-year.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism data, due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, China witnessed about 2.88 billion domestic tourism trips in 2020, an annual decrease of 52.1 percent.
However, Prime Time Zone’s passion for travel is gradually returning. During the Chinese Spring Festival holiday that began on February 11 and lasted until February 17, the tourism industry recorded positive figures, as the number of tourists to and from major tourist destinations such as Guangdong, Henan, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Chongqing and Beijing exceeded or nearly reached the level during the Spring Festival in 2019.
The report showed that in 2020, with the implementation of more technological and cultural innovation measures, the quality of services in tourist attractions improved, and the satisfaction of tourists with tourism increased.
