Activists on social media circulated pictures that sparked a wide wave of anger among Muslims around the world, documenting the distribution of rotten meals to pilgrims, despite the limited number of pilgrims this year due to the pandemic conditions and the outbreak of the Corona virus.

The pictures, which spread widely among Twitter activists in Saudi Arabia, show very bad and spoiled meals that pilgrims filmed with their mobile phones after they were shocked.

Ali Bukhamseen sarcastically wrote: “Dear pilgrim nutrition official, if you don’t believe in eating breakfast with us, roasted ground beans on crabs, eggs in French clay, the third unidentified need is the name of the dish (I dare you to eat me).”

The meals for pilgrims are very poor

A hashtag entitled “# Very Bad Pilgrims Meals” issued the list of the most popular hashtags on Saudi Twitter, and its activists demanded that those responsible for this matter, which distorted the image of the Kingdom and serve the House of God, be held accountable.

Activists published pictures showing rotten food offered to pilgrims, and others that have been stored for days and are not suitable for eating.

And a woman among the pilgrims wrote this year: “We are not selective in food, and we eat everything, but what is presented to us as pilgrims is not appropriate even for prisoners and criminals.”

The Saudi authorities are moving

According to Saudi accounts, he summoned the company that pledged to provide food for the pilgrims of the House of God, after the spread of pictures of “corrupt” foods that were distributed to the pilgrims.

On the other hand, the Saudi authorities are remarkably focused on the entertainment authority’s concerts in Saudi Arabia, coinciding with the days of performing the Hajj, which were suspended under the pretext of the Corona virus pandemic.

The noisy and mixed parties of both sexes took place throughout the Kingdom, days after the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that the performance of Hajj was restricted to citizens and residents under the pretext of Corona.

Activists wondered: Was the ministry not able to host the grafted pilgrims from Muslim countries, even if they were in small numbers? Was it not possible to manage the Hajj with a minimum number of pilgrims from different countries? Why close the doors of Hajj and open the doors of entertainment?

Observers believe that Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is seeking several goals behind this, including an attempt to remove the sanctity of the Two Holy Mosques in the eyes of the Islamic world, and to send a message that the ruler of the sanctities prevents and permits the establishment of rituals.

It also aims, according to analysts, to appease the evangelicals, Zionists and extremists who support him. Since taking over the reins of power in the kingdom, Bin Salman has deliberated on fundamental changes in the kingdom to go towards corruption, decay and Western character without taking into account the sanctity of his country.

Bin Salman allowed the sale of liquor and the establishment of foreign fashion shows, after the arrest of hundreds of prominent scholars and preachers in the Kingdom.

There are main reasons and others that prompted the corrupt ruler to instruct the Minister of Islamic Affairs Abdul Latif Al Sheikh to issue a decision restricting loudspeakers in mosques.

Abdul Latif Al-Sheikh announced on May 23 that the use of external loudspeakers in mosques would be limited to “the call to prayer and Iqamah only.”

He stated that the decision indicates that “the loudness level of the devices should not exceed one third of the degree of the loudspeaker device.”

Al-Sheikh set a series of complex controls and conditions for the devices of loudspeakers inside and outside the mosque.
