Dr. Tariq Lihal confirmed that his vital systems only work with medical devices, and that the heart is very weak, and that the oxygen level in the blood was very weak.

He confirmed that he was completely unconscious.

Nihal Anbar added in her statements to the Egyptian newspaper: “30 minutes ago, he contacted me again, and he confirmed to me the news of the death of the great artist Youssef Shaaban.”

She concluded by praying for him and condoling his family: “Our Lord has mercy on him and transcends his bad deeds, and his family and all his lovers are patient, Lord of the worlds and his daughter Zainab.

Communication sites mourn Mumtaz Mohsen

Social networking sites were filled with statements of obituary and condolences to the family of the famous artist.

Many activists posted obituary tweets, recalling Youssef Shaaban’s prominent roles in the drama, especially the character of “Mohsen Mumtaz”, the Egyptian General Intelligence officer, in the famous “Raafat El Hagan” series.

For his part, Egyptian director and producer Amr Arafa, mourning Youssef Shaaban, wrote: “The metal of human beings tells you that they can travel … and I traveled with him the farthest country of God … Cuba … I knew the nobility and morals of the country’s children.”

He continued: “We were filming a movie, and unfortunately it was not completed, and I left it and left the work for me .. Goodbye to a man who is rare in this time .. We ask you Al-Fatihah.”

A large number of art stars and activists also mourned him, reminding the audience of his artistic history and prominent roles in film and television.

Activists also indicated that Youssef Shaaban was filming a series of Ramadan in Lebanon, and he returned to Egypt after complications from Corona.

History of Yusef Shaban

It is noteworthy that Youssef Shaaban was born on July 16, 1931. He is Egyptian actorHe presented many television and cinematic works as well as theatrical works for nearly 50 years.

He was also captain of the actors for two consecutive terms starting from 1997 to 2003.

Youssef Shaaban was born in the Shubra district of Cairo, and his father was a famous advertising designer for the Egyptian Gazette.

Yusef received his basic education in Ismailia School and secondary education at Tawfiqeya Secondary School.

Because of his superiority in the subject of drawing, he decided to enroll in the Faculty of Fine Arts, but his family strongly refused and chose him among the police college (to join his cousins’ children). Or the Military College (to join his cousins) or the College of Law.

As a result of severe pressure on him, he decided to enroll in the Military Academy, but in the Commission’s exam, he dropped himself, and they refused to join him.

But his family knew what he had planned and forced him to join the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University.

There, he met his old friends, the artist Karam Mutawa, the actor Saeed Abdul-Ghani, and the writer Ibrahim Nafeh.

On the advice of Karam Mutawa, he decided to join the acting team at the college and then presented his credentials at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts.

Because of the pressure of studying at the college and the institute, he decided to concentrate on studying the institute and withdraw his papers from the Faculty of Law when he was in the third year.

Youssef Shaaban graduated from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1962.

Film career

Youssef Shaaban’s cinematic career began in 1961 with the film “In Our Home is a Man” with Omar Sharif, directed by Barakat.

Then his cinematic works exceeded 110 films.

In his cinematic beginnings, Yusef was faced with a fierce but honorable competition from the most prominent stars of the sixties, namely Rushdi Abaza, Kamal El-Shenawi, Salah Zulfikar, Hassan Youssef, and Shukri Sarhan.

Some of them tempted the producers to reduce the wages they received in order to influence them to choose and not choose.

There was also a great disagreement before starting filming the movie “The Goddess of the Masses”, produced in 1967, and the reason is that the great artist, Abdel Halim Hafez, was not convinced of him, while the artist Shadia is convinced of him because they presented successful films together in the past few years.

Shadia threatened to leave the film if Youssef Shaaban was not contracted, and in turn Youssef Shaaban decided to leave the film as a compromise to the dispute between the two big stars.

But the intelligence of the artist Abdel Halim Hafez was greater than this simple disagreement, and all the parties met in his house, the problem was resolved amicably and he agreed to Youssef Shaaban’s participation in the movie starring with them and they became good friends.

In the seventies, he presented a controversial character in the movie “Malatilian Bath,” where he played the role of a gay man.

Despite the confusion that took place in Egypt and abroad, he won many local and international awards. It was decided that his role in this film will be taught at the “Film Institute” and the Academy of Arts.

In 1995, he decided to move away from the cinematic field and settle for one or two series a year, to focus on his new mission as a captain of actors.

The TV career

His TV career began in 1963, and he presented more than 130 series, most notably “The Family, People, Shahd, Tears, Wedge, Eila Al Dougary, Moment of Weakness and Raafat Al Hagan”.

He also shined brilliantly in his performance of the character “Mohsen Mumtaz”, the destination, the works of men, the twins, against the current, a princess in Abidin, and a woman from the time of love and stray light (the character of Wehbe Al-Swalami).

As well as the series, Al-Mal and Al-Banoon, and the participation in the fifth part of (Layali Al-Helmiyya) and the first part of the series on (Al-Biography Al-Hilaliyah) with the same title and other works. He participated in the series Al-Haqiqa Al-Sarab.

Youssef Shaaban presented a strange series in which he excelled in the Egyptian dialect, which was the Jordanian series “Wadha and Ibn Ajlan,” which was considered the most watched in the Gulf countries, Jordan and Syria at the time.

The tournament was shared by Salwa Saeed and Jordan, Nabil Al-Mashini, along with a group of senior Jordanian and Syrian actors.

The series, the story of Bedouin love, is the same story of Nimr bin Adwan, which is considered a qualitative leap in Youssef Shaaban’s artistic career.

Theatrical March

He started his theatrical career with the television play (The Dead End (play)), which was directed by the artist Nour El-Demerdash. Then he presented several plays, the most important of which are “Something in My Chest” and “The Land of Hypocrisy (Play)).

Then he decided to make a bold proposal to establish six television theater groups instead of one theater group to accommodate the large numbers that graduated from the theater institute.

However, his proposal was rejected, and a decision was made to arrest him for a period of three years.

Then a major crisis occurred in the television theater, and they decided to cancel his suspension, but he refused to return to them.

And he participated in a theatrical championship produced by the private sector entitled (Airport of Love) with the participation of the late artist Abdel Moneim Madbouly and artist Mervat Amin in 1970.

Family life

During the filming of the series (The Great Love) in 1963, he decided to publicly confess to all those present with his marriage to actress Leila Taher, which lasted only four years.

And during the divorce occurred three times, which led to the final separation, while love and respect continued to prevail between them.

Then he married Nadia Ismail Sherine, the daughter of Princess Fawzia, the daughter of Fouad I, the sister of King Farouk.

And he gave birth to his daughter Sinai – and his last marriage was to (Eman Khaled Al-Shariaan) a Kuwaiti woman, with whom he had his daughter Zainab and his son Murad, who are currently residing in the State of Kuwait.

His retirement

On July 28, 2017, the actor Youssef Shaaban announced his retirement from art after he participated in the championship of more than 250 works of art.
