Today, Monday, the Swiss Criminal Court ordered to postpone the trial of Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, of the Kuwaiti ruling family.

The court decided to postpone hearing the case against Al-Sabah and 4 other Prime Time Zone, regarding what is known as the falsification of a ruling related to “sedition tapes.” Or what was known as the “Kuwait Communiqué” that was raised years ago.

What is the story tapes sedition or the Kuwaiti communication?

The Swiss judiciary charged Sheikh Ahmed with forgery, along with four other defendants, three of whom were lawyers.

This forgery crime was aimed at giving credence to fake videos attributed to former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed. And the late Speaker of the National Assembly, Jassim Al-Kharafi, accused them of conspiracy, corruption and preparation for a coup.

According to Kuwaiti news platforms, it reported that the Swiss court had postponed the trial sessions, setting a new date after the defendant’s lawyer stepped down. Hamad Al-Haroun to defend him, and to be able to appoint another lawyer.

It is noteworthy that, in November 2018, the Swiss Public Prosecution decided to refer Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahd and the four defendants. Hamad Al-Haroun, Attorney Matthew Barish, and two other lawyers. To the assize court in a false arbitration case in Geneva.

And on charges of trying to prove the authenticity of a video clip alleging the involvement of former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammed, in financial and political violations.

According to the indictment, which was circulated earlier, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahd in 2014 sold the rights to the videos referred to in the case. To Delaware’s company, Trekell, which was purchased from a source in Geneva.

The indictment against the defendants in the case stated that the sole purpose of this agreement is to be able to prepare a phantom dispute between Ahmed Al-Fahd. And Trekell Group LLC.

This is in order to initiate a false arbitration proceeding to try to prove that the videos submitted by the cheetah are authentic.

The indictment says the videos are fake, and that no dispute has ever occurred.

Whereas, the only appointed arbitrator only signed a pre-prepared judgment, for an amount of 10 thousand francs.

The whole aim of these procedures was to give the Swiss arbitration award an evidentiary value equivalent to the court’s burden.

And the defendants in the case ratified the verdict from the High Court in London in 2014.

Al-Fahd claimed, during a statement issued in 2018, that the lawsuit against him had been filed before the Swiss judiciary. It is “linked to political competition within the ruling family of Kuwait”.

Several years ago, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahd Al-Sabah faced charges of “insulting the judiciary and the Public Prosecutor”.

Sheikh Ahmed was sentenced to six months in prison, before the sentence was overturned and an acquittal ruling was issued in his favor.

He was also accused earlier in stopping Kuwaiti sports, in 2015.

He was asked for financial compensation in the company of Sheikh Talal Al-Fahd’s sister.

Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad announced his resignation in April 2017, from all football-related positions in the AFC and FIFA.

His resignation came after suggestions that he was involved in a corruption case in FIFA, which Al-Fahd denied on his part.
