Dutch star Arjen Robben, the former Bayern Munich star, announced his retirement from the world of football in an official statement published last Thursday, at the age of 37.

Dutch player Robben wrote on his official account on the social networking sites “Twitter”, saying: “Dear football friends, I have decided to end my football career, which is a very difficult choice, but I would like to thank everyone for this warm support with my best regards.”

Dutchman Robben started his football career with Groningen, then moved to PSV Eindhoven, and then to Chelsea, followed by a short experience with Real Madrid.
He moved to Bayern Munich, who wore his shirt for 10 years before returning to his club, where he started his career in Groningen, and ending his career within the ranks of his team.

Robben had announced his retirement in 2019, but returned to the stadiums to play for the club in which he began his sports career after the Dutch team offered him the matter last May.

Robben won several titles during his career, the most important of which was the Champions League title with Bayern Munich, as well as the English Premier League twice and the German League 8 times.
