Maait: The administrative authorities must invite the contractors to reconcile their status and register in the “electronic invoice” before the first of October
Mohamed Maait, Minister of Finance, said that it is prohibited for units of the state’s administrative apparatus, local administration units, public service and economic bodies, other public legal persons, public business sector companies, holding companies and their subsidiaries, companies that contribute to the state and other legal persons. The public share in its capital by more than 50%, which sells goods or services, contracts with any of the suppliers, contractors or service providers, from all sectors of the national economy, except those registered in the “electronic invoice” system as of October 1, 2021.
Maait added that electronic payment orders resulting from contracts made in violation will not be issued, and the violating party will bear the consequences.
The minister stressed that the state’s administrative authorities should invite the contractors to reconcile their conditions by registering in the “electronic invoice” system before the first of next October, in order to avoid the suspension of their entitlements, and the application of the “ban” to their contracts.

He pointed out that the “electronic invoice” and “electronic payment and collection” systems are being integrated and linked. This contributes to strengthening efforts to collect the dues of the state’s public treasury, along with facilitating efforts for the business community, aimed at stimulating investment.
