Gold prices rose in the local markets, during trading today, Thursday, with an increase in ounce In the global stock market, due to the increase in inflation rates in the markets, which prompts investors to hedge gold.

Hani Milad, Head of the Gold and Jewelery Division at the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, said that gold prices continued to rise in local markets, with an ounce reaching the level of 1800 dollars, and a gram of 21 karat gold recorded at the level of 787 pounds.

Milad added to “The Stock Exchange” that a gram of 24 carat gold recorded 898 pounds, and 18 carats recorded 674 pounds, and the price of the gold pound reached 6,288 pounds.

Milad expected that gold prices would witness further rises with the increase in inflation rates in global markets.
