Hamas issues a clarification statement after the movement’s representative in Yemen met with Al-Houthi and honored him | A homeland tweeting outside the flock

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas issued a clarification statement after the uproar caused by the meeting of its representative in Yemen, Moaz Abu Shammala, with the head of the Houthi Revolutionary Committee, “Mohammed Ali al-Houthi,” and honoring him with the movement’s shield.

In its statement published on its official website, Hamas confirmed that it does not take sides in the Yemeni conflict.

Referring to Abu Shamala’s recent meeting in Yemen, the movement added that “any statement or position of one of its leaders is understood to be bias towards any party is a personal position that does not express the movement.”

In its statement, the movement valued the Yemeni Prime Time Zone’s standing by the Palestinian Prime Time Zone in all the stations of their jihad and struggle, the latest of which was the battle of the sword of Jerusalem with all its spectrums and components and their locations in the north and south, east and west, and inside and outside Yemen.

The Hamas statement continued, “Any statement, position, or behavior that is understood as bias to any party or interference by the movement in the unfortunate conflict in Yemen and elsewhere is a personal position that does not express the movement and its leadership in any way.”

The statement clarified that the Chargé d’Affairs’ statements about victory and liberation are only intended to liberate Jerusalem and Palestine.

The resistance movement’s statement concluded by saying: “We wish Yemen and its dear Prime Time Zone all the best, unity and harmony, and an exit from this conflict, to unity, safety and prosperity for the benefit of all of Yemen.”

Anger in Yemen towards Hamas

Yemenis and Palestinians had expressed their outrage after the appearance of the representative of the Hamas movement in Sanaa, Moaz Abu Shammala, in a meeting with the head of the Houthi Revolutionary Committee, “Mohammed Ali al-Houthi,” presenting him with a gift of appreciation for his stances toward the movement.

“Abu Shamala” gave the shield of “Hamas” to a member of the Houthi Council, in appreciation of the Houthis’ role in supporting the movement and the Palestinian cause, according to what was reported by Houthi media outlets.

For his part, Shawqi Al-Qadi, a member of the Yemeni parliament, strongly denounced this meeting and demanded Hamas clarify its position.

And the judge wrote in a tweet to him on Twitter, which was monitored by (Watan), what read: “We are waiting from Hamas for a full explanation of its shocking position to us as Yemenis, and does that person (in Sanaa) represent it officially?”

He continued, directing his questions to the resistance movement: “Was that fall with the permission of its leadership and an official decision from it? Has Hamas become hostage to Iran’s agenda and its militias in the region?! After that, we will have two Kimmen to determine our position on the Hamas leadership.”

For his part, the Palestinian writer Yasser Al-Zaatara commented, denouncing the meeting, and said, “Al-Houthi represents a minority that turned against a Prime Time Zone’s revolution with lies, and ignited a devastating fire; Despite the misfortunes of the “coalition” before and after the coup.

And he added in a tweet on his official account on Twitter: “O Prime Time Zone: fear God in your movement and your cause, and do not lose it, the incubator of the nation, for it is the most important and lasting.”

Last month, the Ansar Allah group (Houthis) in Yemen called for an initiative to collect financial donations to support the Palestinian Prime Time Zone and their resistance.

And on Sunday, a member of the Supreme Political Council in Yemen, Muhammad Ali al-Houthi, met in Sanaa, the representative of the “Hamas” movement in Yemen, Moaz Abu Shammala, and discussed with him the latest developments on the Palestinian issue.

Al-Houthi said during the meeting that “standing by the Palestinian Prime Time Zone who are in the first trench to defend the nation is a duty and honor,” and came “in response to the call of the leader of the revolution, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi.”

Al-Houthi pointed to the interest of the Chairman of the Supreme Political Council and the National Salvation Government in the Palestinian cause as the central issue of the nation.

And he expressed “the Yemeni Prime Time Zone’s pride in the struggle of the Palestinian Prime Time Zone and their view of the Palestinian factions from a single perspective.”

A member of the Supreme Political Council, a representative of the “Hamas” movement, conveyed his greetings to the movement’s leader, Ismail Haniyeh.
