Health: 861 new positive cases of the Corona virus were recorded.. and 41 deaths

The Ministry of Health and Population announced, on Wednesday, that 899 Prime Time Zone recovered from the Corona virus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and completing their recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 265,663 to date.

Dr. Khaled Mujahid, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Awareness and Community Outreach and the official spokesperson for the Ministry, explained that 861 new cases were recorded, whose laboratory analyzes were positive for the virus, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures conducted by the Ministry according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to the death of 41 new cases.

Mujahid said that according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for a period of 10 days from infection is an indication of the patient’s recovery from the Corona virus.

Mujahid stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Wednesday, is 314,977, including 265,663 cases that have been cured, and 17,806 deaths.

The Ministry of Health and Population continues to raise its preparations in all governorates of the Republic, follow up the situation first-hand regarding the “emerging corona virus”, and take all necessary preventive measures against any viruses or infectious diseases, and the ministry has also allocated a number of means of communication to receive citizens’ inquiries about the emerging corona virus and infectious diseases. Including the hotline “105”, “15335” and the WhatsApp number “01553105105”, in addition to the “Health Egypt” application available on phones.
