Sadiq: 37 entities in the governorates of the first phase of the comprehensive health insurance system are on the way for accreditation with the authority

He pointed out that there are 37 entities in the governorates of the first phase, and Cairo is on the way to accreditation by the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control.
He explained that the coming period will witness new coverage in the package of medical services provided to beneficiaries according to the latest methods of treatment and internationally approved medicines, as osteoporosis and some mental diseases will be included in the approved list of congenital defects, speech rehabilitation, aging and growth rates, exempt from the rates of contributions decided upon receiving services Radiology, medical imaging, analysis, and dispensing of drugs.
Sadiq indicated that the number of Prime Time Zone registered with the comprehensive health insurance system in Port Said governorate increased to about 700,000 out of the 950,000 citizens residing in the governorate.
He said that medical services are provided to subscribers to the comprehensive health insurance system through the Public Health Care Authority, private sector institutions or others registered with the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, whether inside or outside Port Said governorate.
He added that the number of transfers that took place outside Port Said to accredited hospitals reached 896 cases for medical follow-up and 389 critical cases for liver, kidney and bone marrow transplantation and oncological diseases.
Sadiq explained that more than half a million citizens visited outpatient clinics, and 166.6 thousand emergency cases were under the umbrella of comprehensive health insurance, and more than 600 thousand medical examinations were performed, 177 received radiotherapy cases, 4.7 thousand cases of dialysis were completed. Conducted more than 32 thousand surgeries, including 7 cases of marrow transplantation, 3 thousand eye operations, and 131 heart operations in accredited hospitals that joined the system.
Ismail: We seek to include the largest number of health service providers in the system of all categories
Ashraf Ismail, head of the General Authority for Health Accreditation and Control, said that the authority is keen to join the largest number of health service providers to the comprehensive health insurance system of all categories and their governing systems from facilities affiliated to the Ministry of Health, university hospitals, the armed forces, the Suez Canal Authority, the police, and the sector The private and the private sector, provided that it fulfills the registration requirements and accreditation standards.
He added that the strategic partnership with the private sector and increasing investment in health while ensuring the optimal use of resources are strong indicators of what the health sector in Egypt is witnessing in terms of real targeting for development and providing a different form of health service worthy of Egypt’s position.
