Butcher: The completion of 528 units in the “Jannah” project … and the allocation of a number of investment land plots

The Urban Communities Authority completed the implementation of 2040 units of the social housing project in the new city of Minya last year, at a cost of EGP 264 million.

Dr. Assem Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, said that the authority has also completed the implementation of 528 housing units in the first phase of the “Jannah” project for luxury housing in the entertainment district of the city.

He pointed out that many plots of land were allocated with different activities to meet the future needs of the city, and the implementation of a number of projects that would contribute to providing thousands of job opportunities in Upper Egypt.

He explained that the implementation of the first phase, with a capacity of 20 thousand cubic meters per day, of the sewage treatment plant in the new city of Minya, had been completed at a total cost of 285 million pounds.

He said that the design capacity of the station is 140 thousand cubic meters per day, so that the treated water will be utilized in the irrigation of green areas, in conjunction with the implementation of the entire irrigation network, and within the framework of the state’s drive to rationalize the consumption of used water and achieve the highest utilization of treated wastewater.

He added that the implementation of the second phase of the permanent drinking water purification plant with a capacity of 50,000 cubic meters per day has been completed.

Engineer Khaled Nayef Abdel Aziz, head of the New Minya City Development Authority, indicated that the implementation of a youth center on an area of ​​about 16 thousand meters in the 140 acres area along the northern expansions has been completed.

With regard to investment opportunities in the new city of Minya, the head of the agency explained that 4,179 meters of the city center have been allocated to the Central Bank of Egypt, with an investment value of 13.4 million pounds.

In addition, a plot of 57.25 acres of land in the tourist district was allocated to establish an integrated urban activity “Porto”, with an investment value of about 276 million pounds, and more than 38% of the land value was paid.

The head of the agency added that an area of ​​5 thousand meters has been allocated for the benefit of the Toshiba Al Arabi Group, with the activity of a logistical area, with an investment value of 5.2 million pounds, in addition to allocating a plot of land with an area of ​​942 meters in the exhibition grounds area of ​​the group’s industrial zone, with a total investment value of 3.15 million.

He said that an area of ​​310 feddans had been allocated with an integrated urban activity, with a value of LE 1.047 billion, and a ministerial decision had been approved for planning and dividing the land.

The head of the agency added: A plot of land with an area of ​​11 acres has been allocated to the activity of an urban complex with an investment value of 4.5 million pounds, and 8 feddans in the area of ​​840 feddans as an extension of Lotus University, with an investment value of about 35 million pounds.

Besides allocating an area of ​​60 acres with a utility-based system, to establish a solar power station with a capacity of 20 megawatts, and allocating an area of ​​462 meters in the exhibition grounds area in the industrial zone with a total investment value of 1.6 million pounds.

He explained that a plot of land had been allocated with an administrative commercial activity in the city center with an area of ​​2700 meters with an investment value of 10.125 million, and a plot of land with an area of ​​17.5 acres had been allocated with a club activity with an investment value of 62.4 million pounds, and a plot of land had been allocated with an integrated urban gathering activity of an area of ​​about 42 thousand meters in the distinguished district, and the allocation of a plot A land of about 1,400 meters with a medical activity in the fourth neighborhood in the extension area, with an investment value of about 4 million pounds.
