El Saadi: Achieving $ 100 billion in exports within 3 years is a big challenge
Abeer Al Saadi, advisor to the Minister of Trade and Industry for Development Projects, said that the ministry focuses in its plan to replace imports with exports on 6 economic sectors, including textiles, marble, food, furniture, chemicals, and leather.
She added, during her participation in the second retail summit, that the plan for future placements for industrial cities will take place in 7 governorates: Alexandria, Gharbia, Sohag, Beni Suef, the Red Sea and Luxor.
El-Saady explained that achieving Egyptian exports worth $ 100 billion within 3 years represents a great challenge, compared to about $ 25 billion in 2020.
She indicated that the Industrial Modernization Center held periodic meetings to restore its lost role over 8 years, which created a gap between the center’s services and the real needs of the industry.
