The Minister of Social Solidarity, Nevin Al-Kabbaj, confirmed that the Egyptian state has achieved many huge achievements with the full support of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi at various levels, whether improving the economy, infrastructure, roads, protecting citizens from urgent dangers, or reforming the support system, among others.
Al-Kabbaj said in a statement to (Extra News) today, Tuesday, that the step to develop and develop Egyptian villages came at the right moment in the context of the total reforms that are taking place, adding that the Egyptian countryside is still safe, but it lacks many development indicators that improve villages and families’ lives.
She added that President El-Sisi had an integrated vision for developing the countryside, so that the government would rise, and in coordination with the community, we would enter the countryside with a large human and financial resources, noting that after the recovery of the economy, the (Decent Life) initiative started two years ago in January 2019, when President Sisi launched the spark of the stage. First, achievements were made in 143 villages, and the focus was on decent housing, some health convoys, and the basic needs of the citizen.
She explained that the ministry cooperated with 23 civil societies, as well as more than hundreds of associations at village levels, noting that in the second phase, President Sisi had a broader perspective that we would expand to 1,400 villages … pointing out that the first program of a decent life cost 13.5 billion pounds. As for the second phase, its cost was estimated at 150 billion pounds within the framework of a further view of 500 billion pounds, adding that the private sector is a partner in social responsibility.
Concerning the (Diyaruna) exhibition for Egyptian handicrafts, Al-Kabbaj said that the exhibition includes 360 exhibitors and a group of families work with him, noting that “economic empowerment” is the main slogan of the Ministry of Solidarity during the coming period, stressing that the heritage crafts are very great, both at the level. Economic, heritage or environmental, adding that most of the products are from environmentally friendly materials.
She pointed out that the exhibition includes families from all over the Republic, adding that the ministry took care to have geographical, professional and heritage representation in the exhibition.
