Egyptian tennis player Mayar Sherif, 25, won the Karlsruhe Open tennis title in Germany, after defeating her Italian counterpart Martina Trevisan in the final of the international tournament.

Egyptian Sherif succeeded in defeating her Italian rival Trevisan in the final match of the Karlsruhe Championship, by two sets without a response, with a result (3-6) and (6-2).
Sharaf is the first Egyptian woman to win a WTA championship during her tennis career, and the player had earlier managed to get second place in the Spanish Tennis Championships last month.
