She confirmed that she did not move from her apartment located in the Mohandessin neighborhood in the Egyptian governorate of Giza, and did not climb to the roof of the building, as reported.

She added that the fire broke out in an apartment on the sixth floor owned by a company and not inhabited by individuals, while she lives on the fourth floor.

Mervat Amin said that she was surprised by the fall of a lot of water from the fire engines to put out the fire on the balcony of her house, as well as the fall of the effects of the fire on the windows of her house.

For his part, director Omar Abdel Aziz confirmed to the Egyptian newspaper “Al-Watan” that Mervat is fine, but she is shocked by the fire, which he described as “enormous.”

And the Egyptian artist, Hussein Fahmy, said last month that his ex-wife, artist Mervat Amin, was deeply shocked by the departure of her close friend, artist Dalal Abdel Aziz.
