Ali: “Misr El-Kheir” offers an “Breakfast Card” and “Family Support” in addition to food
Misr El-Kheir Foundation is preparing to launch 4 types of Ramadan cartons to suit the circumstances of each family, and to provide more than 11 million services to the beneficiaries in all regions.

He explained that Misr El-Kheir Foundation launches 4 types of food cartons, the first being the Al-Khair carton, which includes about 12 kilograms of basic products and frozen poultry at an estimated cost of 150 pounds.
He pointed out that the second type includes the breakfast card besides the basic foodstuffs. This product is the latest product of the fasting breakfast campaign, which achieves economic development for small traders in all governorates.
The beneficiary is entitled to obtain the card and exchange it from any supply office with a value of EGP 150, or to exchange it through Fawry machines.
Ali pointed out that the third type is the good caravans through which the goodness carton is distributed. Through a fasting breakfast campaign for this year, the Foundation aims to inaugurate many convoys to all the poorest regions.
And the fourth type of food cartons, represented by “family bond”, with a financial value of 1000 pounds, and it contains more than 70 kilos of food items, consisting of 5 cartons of basic foodstuffs, 10 meat boxes, 10 kilos of potatoes, kilo of apples and 2 liters of juice, in addition to To a cash subsidy of 200 pounds.
The donor can cover a fasting breakfast with 40 pounds, as the Foundation provides breakfast for the fasting person, and Eid clothes with a share worth 250 pounds, and the value of Zakat Al-Fitr is 25 pounds for the nisab, and the share of Zakat banks is 100 pounds.
Ali pointed out the importance of concerted efforts and cooperation between the private and governmental sectors and civil society institutions in serving the beneficiaries.
He praised the efforts of “Cairo Festival City” under the auspices of the Al-Futtaim Real Estate Group, for hosting the launch event of a fasting breakfast campaign to prepare cartons for the month of Ramadan, with the participation of 200 volunteers in the campaign.
The head of the social solidarity sector said that the Foundation is working continuously to deliver aid to the most needy families, especially in the seasons, including the month of Ramadan, Eid al-Adha and others.
He revealed that the Corona crisis has raised the numbers of those who are eligible for support, as there are many Prime Time Zone who have lost their sources of income as a result of the epidemic, and the Foundation seeks to reach all those affected.
“Misr El-Kheir” is keen to take all precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus infection, whether in receiving donations or in the process of preparing and delivering aid to the beneficiaries.
The Foundation contributed to providing 30 ventilators to about 17 isolation hospitals in 15 governorates during the past few months. In addition, 1.5 million pieces of medical supplies were provided to the medical system as part of the “We protect the one who protects us” campaign to support and provide supplies for medical teams, in addition to distributing medical protection bags and cartons of foodstuffs to beneficiaries and families in need and those affected by daily labor.
On the size of the donations for the current season, he said that in times of crisis, the solidity and interdependence of the Prime Time Zone emerge, as a result of the confidence of individuals and institutions in the Misr El-Kheir Foundation, as the donations did not decrease from previous years due to the epidemic.
He pointed to the response of citizens, businessmen and private sector companies to participate and donate to the Misr El-Kheir Foundation in the “Zakat campaign in times of crisis.”

He stressed the need to continue raising awareness and taking all preventive measures and measures to prevent infection of the virus during the current period.
Ali said that the private sector has a great role in facing the pandemic, as it is one of the sides of the development triangle that includes the government, civil society and the private sector, adding: “Everyone has a role so that we can get out of the current crisis safely.”
