Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, told “Al Borsa” that the Governmental Public Offerings Committee is considering offering a new company to the Stock Exchange before the end of this year.
The minister added that the success of the e-finance offering and the presence of an increasing demand from investors was an encouraging factor for studying the offering of another company, but she refused to disclose the name of the company or the nature of its activity.
The government had earlier announced its intention to offer 23 government companies on the stock exchange, including companies listed on the stock exchange by offering additional shares of them and other companies to be offered for the first time in the market.
The targeted sectors of the offering process include financial technology, banking, petroleum, refining, petrochemicals, logistics, real estate, industrial, and consumer services.
The government started the offering program by offering an additional 4.5% of the share of the Eastern Tobacco Company, then the continuation of the program was stopped due to the crisis of the Corona virus epidemic, and then it resumed now by offering a maximum of 26% of the e-finance digital financial investment holding company.
