President El-Sisi directs to expand the electronic update of government services

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi called for expanding the application and generalization of automation and electronic modernization systems for all government services, taking advantage of the current efforts to develop the Egyptian countryside within the framework of the Decent Life Initiative, especially in vital areas such as medical services, hospitals and health facilities.

The President met today with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and the meeting discussed “Reviewing the general directions for the sustainable development plan for the fiscal year 2021/2022”.

The Minister of Planning reviewed the sustainable development plan that is based on the strict commitment to implementing the initiatives of the President to provide a decent life for the Egyptian citizen, and alignment with the objectives of the national agenda to achieve sustainable development within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030, in addition to increasing public spending on health, education and scientific research, and continuing efforts aimed at containing Coronavirus pandemic, and addressing its economic and social repercussions.

The general directions of the plan were also presented, which include giving priority to high-productivity sectors that drive sustainable economic growth, such as manufacturing, communications, information technology, and agriculture, in addition to continuing to implement presidential initiatives to improve the health and quality of life for citizens and improve the living conditions of families in the countryside, while providing the necessary allocations and funds to implement The Decent Life Initiative and its objectives, giving priority to project resettlement and directing financial allocations to the governorates most in need, through an equitable distribution of investments, with the aim of addressing development gaps.

The President was also briefed on the most important strategic objectives of the sustainable development plan for the fiscal year 2022/2021, which included enhancing the role of public spending in social protection, including the implementation of decent life initiatives, and the development of the Egyptian family that aims to contribute to controlling population growth by reducing the fertility rate. And women’s health initiatives that cover about 30 million women, in addition to directing public investments towards green projects, as well as strengthening the capabilities of state institutions to face the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, by increasing the capacity of health facilities, as well as expanding efforts to automate services, in addition to expanding access to And improving the quality of medical services, including through university hospitals, as well as expanding the application of the comprehensive health insurance system, in addition to expanding the availability and improvement of the quality of educational services, by establishing public universities in all governorates, as well as private universities, and linking the technical education system to the labor market and expanding in Technological universities.

The President also directed the expansion of the project of lining and rehabilitation of canals, and the provision of additional resources necessary for this purpose, within the framework of the Decent Life initiative, given its environmental and economic benefits to the project and its contribution to saving irrigation water and increasing agricultural productivity.
