President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi directed to increase the number of commodity distribution outlets in the “Ahlan Ramadan” series of exhibitions to 2100 fairs to distribute high-quality basic food commodities of all kinds, in order to meet the needs of citizens before the holy month of Ramadan, and that appropriate reduction rates be applied to these goods in line with With the state policy to reduce the burden on the most needy segments of citizens.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today with Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, Ali Al-Moselhy, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Mahmoud Shaarawy, Minister of Local Development.
Ambassador Bassam Rady, the official spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that the meeting dealt with following up procedures for providing basic commodities to citizens during the holy month of Ramadan, with appropriate quantities and prices in various governorates of the Republic.
The Minister of Supply reviewed the various initiatives of the Ministry of Supply, main and subsidiary exhibitions, and fixed and mobile outlets to provide food commodities to all citizens, especially the most needy segments through the Holding Company for Food Industries and Consumer Associations, as well as presenting the current position of the strategic stock for the coming months of basic supply goods.
The Minister of Local Development also presented the latest preparations in centers and cities in various governorates of the Republic to receive the holy month of Ramadan, and the coordination that took place with both the Ministry of Supply and the governors regarding the provision of goods and the holding of exhibitions and sales anecdotes affiliated with food commodity distribution companies.
The official spokesman added that the meeting also witnessed the presentation of the latest developments in the development of the bakery system at the level of the Republic, and the efforts to convert them to work with natural gas in cooperation with the concerned authorities, in line with the state’s efforts to rely on clean energy that has positive economic, environmental and health returns.
