Madbouly stresses the use of the data of the Public Mobilization and Statistics Authority in implementing projects that the villages need
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, held a meeting to follow up the steps of a comprehensive survey of villages targeted for development within the national project for the development of Egyptian countryside villages, as part of the presidential initiative “A Decent Life”.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, Major General Mahmoud Sharawi, Minister of Local Development, Dr. Asim Al-Jazzar, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, Major General Khairat Barakat, Head of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, Major General Khaled Fawzi, Director of the Military Survey Department, and officials Ministries and stakeholders.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Prime Minister referred to what is being done during this period of inventory and a comprehensive survey of the various villages targeted for development within the framework of the implementation of the presidential initiative “A Decent Life”, stressing the importance of the data obtained in the accurate monitoring and identification of the various service and development projects proposed to be implemented Within the plan to develop these villages.
He praised the volume of data and information that the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics has, and its details on the various villages at the level of the Republic, which will contribute significantly to identifying services and projects that meet the needs of the residents of those villages.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of coordination to ensure that the Ministries of Local Development, Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, and the Engineering Authority for the Armed Forces benefit from the data that the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics has, especially as it includes many accurate details about the projects implemented in the villages, supported by explanatory maps for those Projects, in addition to the information contained in this data on the system of births and deaths.
Major General Khairat Barakat, head of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics, presented a report on the steps and procedures for implementing the national project to develop the villages of the Egyptian countryside, confirming the adoption of a unified mechanism that ensures the integration and auditing of data, and the use of it within the framework of this important project, pointing out that this mechanism depends on data. Spatial data for the agency as a basic and official source in the implementation of the project, including the data of the 2017 census, the characteristics of the local community for the year 2020, the income, spending and consumption research for the year 2017/2018, in addition to the data of the Ministry of Planning represented in the follow-up system of the Decent Life Initiative and field monitoring of the “A Decent Life Foundation” ”And the data of the Ministry of Local Development, explaining that each agency periodically checks and updates its data on the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics database.
During the report, Major General Khairat presented the distribution of 1500 villages and followers, targeted as part of the national project to develop the villages of the Egyptian countryside, at the level of the governorates of the Republic, in the sea and tribal areas, in order to identify their characteristics and the number of Prime Time Zone benefiting from these projects, who will number about 18.5 million beneficiaries.
It also sheds light in detail on the data of the two centers of Sahel Salim in Assiut governorate and the endowment in Qena governorate, in terms of the characteristics of the targeted villages and dependencies in the center, and the number of beneficiaries, through geographical maps, and based on the data of the 2017 census as well as the data of the characteristics of the local community 2020 and what was provided. Among the projects being implemented by the Ministry of Local Development and the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development.
