Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, said that the government has taken a number of measures to support the business community, including reducing electricity and natural gas prices for the industrial sector.

He pointed to allocating an additional 10 billion pounds to pay the dues of contractors and suppliers, and an additional 3 billion pounds was allocated to pay the dues of the export support program, as a total amount of 30 billion pounds was paid, and foreign investors were granted exemption from paying capital gains tax and suspending its payment to resident shareholders until a year 2022.

Dr. Madbouly added that the government provided direct financial support to citizens, especially those with limited income and irregular workers, by providing an exceptional grant in a total amount of 1,500 pounds divided in three installments, and distributing it to more than 1.6 million workers through 4000 post offices throughout the Republic.

In addition to expanding the “Takaful and Karama” program by adding 142 thousand new families from the most needy groups, while the total services and subsidies provided by the Ministry of Social Solidarity and NGOs and institutions reached about 20 million services at a total cost of 1.7 billion pounds.

Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, delivered a speech today, under the title “Egypt 2021 and Beyond,” during the meeting organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Cairo, in the presence of Ahmed Kajouk, Deputy Minister of Finance for Financial Policy, and Omar Muhanna, Chairman of the Egyptian-American Business Council. Dalia Wahba, Deputy Chairman of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, Khaled Abu Bakr, and members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors in Cairo, through “video conference” technology, with the participation of Meron Brilliant, Executive Vice President and Head of the Chamber’s International Affairs Department, Silvia Minsa, Chief Executive Officer of the Chamber in Cairo, and some former Presidents of the Chamber , And a number of its members.
