Aref: Establishing an exhibition committee to market Egyptian products internally and externally

The Division of Quarry, Marble and Granite Exploiters of the Cairo Chamber of Commerce held an expanded meeting with officials of the Tax Guidance Office headed by Mohamed Abdullah, and Dr. Tharwat Abdel-Baqi, Undersecretary of the Ministry in the Information Sector, to explain the new system for electronic tax registration, including general taxes, earning work, and how to register in the new system.

Mohamed Aref, head of the division, said during the meeting that cooperation will be made with the authorities responsible for implementing the presidential initiative to develop the Egyptian villages, and coordination will take place under the umbrella of the Chamber of Commerce headed by Eng. Ibrahim Al-Arabi.

Aref indicated that the division will offer price cuts of 25%, as well as free delivery and installation service for the initiative villages, with a contribution from the Chamber of Commerce and the Division of Quarries, Marble and Granite, and a kind of community participation.

He affirmed that a committee for local and international exhibitions had been formed, with the task of activating sales internally and marketing Egyptian products of marble and granite globally to increase Egyptian exports and provide hard currency to the country.

Head of the Exhibitions Committee, Hanan Ismail, said during the meeting that marketing missions will be sent to African countries, especially the country of Ronda, which is surrounded by 5 African countries and has large markets.

Ismail added that discounts will be approved for members of the Shia, at a rate of 10%, at the Big 5 exhibition and an exhibition for the Sultanate of Oman, and it was agreed on another exhibition next April in the Emirate of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates.

Aref indicated that discussion of the code of ethics for the sector will be postponed until the next meeting, provided that a discipline committee is established in the division consisting of members.
