Last Thursday, the president of the Legion Dynamo club, Shamil Lakhialov, offered the retired 32-year-old boxer Habib Nurmagomedov to join the club as a football player.

Lakhialov, president of Legion Dynamo, posted on his Instagram account a picture of the Russian boxer Habib, and attached it to his invitation to join the football team of the club, which plays in the third division of the Russian League.

The club’s president, Lakhialov, sent a message to the Russian boxer Habib, saying: “Habib, the contract is ready and he only needs the money and sign it.”

This initiative came from the president of Legion Dynamo, a club in the city of Makhachkala, the capital of the Russian Republic of Dagestan, the birthplace of retired boxer Habib Nurmagomedov, in response to the post published by the Russian player earlier while posting a video clip of him playing football with his friends.

Habib commented on the post of the video clip to his fans and followers, saying: “I need motivation, my brothers.”

Habib refused the tempting offer

In another context, the business manager of the retired player Habib stated through the Russian media, saying: “They offered $ 100 million to Habib after he retired from martial arts, in order to confront Floyd Mayoyds, and ask the American Floyd about that.”

And he added, “I told Habib about this offer, but he refused and said no, justifying that I told my mother that I had finished my professional career and I would keep my word about it.”

Achievements and series of victories

During his professional career in mixed martial arts, Habib achieved 29 victories in 29 matches that the player played without any defeat, after which he decided to suddenly retire in October 2020.

The last match that world boxing champion Habib Nurmagomedov fought against was American Justin Gage, which was held in the UAE capital, “Abu Dhabi”, in the “UFC 254” World Championship in martial arts.
