Lieutenant-General Osama Rabie, head of the Suez Canal Authority, witnessed today, Tuesday, the signing of a protocol of joint cooperation between the Suez Canal Authority and the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, to activate the entry of hospitals and medical centers affiliated with the authority to the comprehensive health insurance system, in the Al-Irshad building in Ismailia.

Under the cooperation protocol, the entry of hospitals and medical centers affiliated with the authority is activated within the comprehensive health insurance system, and then the provision of medical services to the beneficiaries of this system is activated, after the completion of registration by the Health Accreditation and Control Authority and fulfilling all necessary controls for health facilities.

The team, Osama Rabie, confirmed that the hospitals and medical centers affiliated with the authority are ready to join the comprehensive health insurance system after completing its development and raising its efficiency, as the development included the Shawki Khallaf Medical Center in Ismailia and the Medical Center in Port Said. Lieutenant-General Rabie explained that the implementation of the comprehensive health insurance system will ensure the improvement of the level of health services provided to the authority’s employees and beneficiaries under the umbrella of the new comprehensive health insurance system, in a way that enhances the state’s efforts to provide an advanced symbiotic health system for all citizens.

For his part, Engineer Hossam Sadiq, Executive Director of the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, thanked the team, Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, for his unlimited support, praising the fruitful cooperation he touched by the work team of the authority, which efforts were crowned with success by signing the cooperation protocol, marking the start of providing medical services. developed through the Authority’s medical centers within the comprehensive health insurance system.

The Executive Director of the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance expressed his confidence that this step will have a good return and that the medical centers of the Authority, after their development, will provide a role model for all bodies in the field of investment in the medical sector.

The memorandum of understanding was signed by a representative of the Suez Canal Authority, Eng. Mohamed Hisham Hassan Gabr, Director of Services Department, while a representative of the General Authority for Health Insurance was signed by Eng. Hossam Sadek, Executive Director of the General Authority for Comprehensive Health Insurance, on behalf of Dr. Mohamed Maait, Chairman of the Authority’s Board of Directors.
