Saudi media has denied what is circulating about the death of Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais, the general head of the affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
This came after a rumor spread widely on social media, that Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al-Sudais had died.
The last appearance of Sheikh Al-Sudais
The most recent appearance of Sheikh Al-Sudais was today, Tuesday, when he visited the King Fahd National Library. According to the Saudi newspaper, “Sabq.”
Al-Sudais was received by the Secretary General of the Library, Dr. Mansour bin Abdullah Al-Zamil, and a number of senior library staff.
“Al-Sudais” listened to the Secretary-General of the Library, Dr. Mansour bin Abdullah Al-Zamil, during the visit, for a full explanation of the library’s objectives, contents, the applicable deposit system, and its steps in this regard.
He was also briefed on the most prominent tasks of the library and the role entrusted to it and what it has accomplished over the past years, and ways of cooperation between it and the Library of the Two Holy Mosques were discussed.
Al-Sudais and the accompanying delegation toured the library’s various departments and sections.
He was also briefed on the halls of public collections and the books and references they contain, manuscripts and rare books, including the Noble Qur’an, which dates back to the third century AH.

He also recorded a speech in the visit log, in which he praised the rare holdings owned by the library, and the great services it provides to researchers and the community.
