The news of Mona Badr’s death was announced by musician Yahya Khalil, on his Facebook page.
In his post, which was monitored by (Watan), Yahya said: “This morning, my friend, a star from the beautiful time (Mary Al-Najjar), whom I met, passed away. In Egyptian cinema as (Mona Badr).
He continued: “And she starred in the movie (Boy of My Dreams) in front of Nightingale Abdel Halim Hafez, and she had settled in the United States in Chicago about 30 years ago.”
Khalil published a picture that he collected with the late artist and another of her with Abdel Halim Hafez in the movie “My Dream Boy”.
Badr moved away from art, blessing, so that her artistic balance would be 3 films only.
